hey familia (mainly mom i guess...)!
Wow it has been a crazy week. Is there any sort of snake protector spray or something you guys could buy? That sounds terrible. I find cockroaches every now and then, but snakes.. thats scary. I've only seen one snake my whole mission and that was in Vinces. It was dark, so I didn't see it well, but it slithered over my companion's foot. He freaked out! Which I can understand because we don't know what kind of type of snake it was.
That is nuts though, mice and snakes. I feel bad for you guys. The lizards haven't come back for a while here. I will say the one thing I absolutely hate here is the ants, and mini spiders. Yes spiders the size of ants. You can be in the nicest house and still find an ant on your spoon before you eat.
This week has been pretty calm besides Conference! We have to take a bus to the Kenedy, which is the stake center. So in the last 2 days we have taken 10 buses and 2 taxis. It is crazy! Buses are only 25 cents but you can't bring giant missionary luggage in buses so we had to use taxis for transfers. But it wasn't that bad. I don't usually mind the bus trips to the Kenedy. You get to see all sorts of fun stuff. This week I didn't get to see any sort of realistic theater in the bus but I did get the preacher once. They get up and yell about how Christ is the Savior. It bugs me a bit. There was a fricken genius man yesterday though. If it wasn't the Sabbath, I totally would have bought stuff! He had flashlights, toothbrushes, Qtips, and lots more. The first seller I've seen on the bus not selling candy haha.
Other than that I really didn't do anything crazy new this week. I have 2 baptisms this Saturday! It'll be my first legit baptisms! I know that one of my last investigators got baptized but I wasn't there so it wasn't really that cool... I'm soo excited though. I put the fecha with both and have worked lots to get them to this point so I'm pretty excited for that.
We also went to the temple last week and Hna Loor met us in the celestial room and taught us a bunch of cool stuff about the temple.  It was awesome. I would reccomend the next time you go be very observant and ask lots of questions in your head. Then, while you are in the celestial room, ask one of the workers to help with questions you don't understand. Everything has meaning in the Temple. Even the first picture you see when you walk in is important. It was a good experience. I just want to go back to the Temple every day and meditate and learn because it is very symbolic and powerful. Well, I'm gunna send pics, Love you guys mucho
 BTW

I did get to listen in English. It was good. (Conference)
My favorite is...
JK I don't know they were all soo powerful. I liked the last new apostle. He was good. As well, Holland talking about the love of a mother.

I am still in my old sector, but I'm with Elder Melzer. He is from Arizona.

I don't know what to say about the other. When you live in a tiny house, you improvise for fun.

In the next package, which I know is a ways, could you send me these?
The bible video that is. The other picture is my preparations for conference.

Sept 28 2015

Hey familia!
I think that right there is a perfect representation of my spánglish.
haha well to start out I better say HAPPY CUMPLEAÑOS ABBY! Feliz birthday and stuff. Hope it's a good one!
This week has been great! My legs hurt so that shows I'm working haha!
So the service project yes I was there. To explain that, we had planned it for Saturday, but the zone had planned an activity Friday.  Our zone leaders call us Thursday night and asked if we could move the project to Friday so we said yes. The amount of painting wasn't very big, like four little walls. So we show up at the church Friday morning expecting like 8 missionaries but we had like 23 missionaries! IT WAS REDICULOUS! There were some people across the street as well painting a house so like 5 missionaries helped there but I took 3 other missionaries and went to the familia Loor's house.  They had asked us a few weeks ago to help out with something but we didn't have the tools. But we found some and ran over. Basically we build a part of a bed frame that had broken. Also installed a few more locks on a few of their doors. But that is why I'm not in the picture, I was at another members house haha.
Well I'm glad to hear all is well in the Taylor house, now time for funny stories. Basically I live for the funny stuff. Today a 92 year old man tried to speak english with us, then gave us his resume.
Later, some weird, very likely homeless man came up and kissed my companion's hand. Me and Elder Reyes were dying it was soo funny!! Btw this was at the parque de las iguanas. Also, a lady selling water comes up going, agua. I said, no gracias. She says AGUA. I Say no GRACIAS. She says it is hot and this is cold. AGUA! So I gave her a pass along card.  This was all this morning...
Also today in the grocery store a lady comes up and says God bless you. Then she proceded to bless us while we shopped for like 3 minutes.
Haha i'm not done, it's been a wierd week.
We went to an investigators house because we heard that her grandpa passed away. She's like 17 and had told us she had an operation coming up, but wow... we barely recognised her. She got a nose job..
more like a face job. It was soo strange!
The other one that was just strange was the street actors. We see them all over, in busses, on the streets but one was so weird. Two teenage boys get on a bus. One in a dress carrying a wig. The first explains their sad story, then they proceed. One puts on the wig. One is in the back and the other in the front of the bus. Basically the guy pretended to be a father and the girl a daughter. The story was that the dad wanted the girl to leave her room and they fake argued for 5 minutes. It was so strange..
But like I said, we went to the Iguana Park!! I have a ton of photos of iguanas!! I'll send them. Sadly my camera died when we got there, so I don't have many with me but my comp took a few for me, he will send them and I will forward them.
Well I love you guys, gotta get off
Elder Taylor

The taxi drivers name, I just called him Hermano haha. The first thing you see in the iguana park.

  Iguanas

In one of these, there is indeed a pigeon riding an iguana.

There are lots of iguanas in the tree. Also, in the pool there are turtles. The camera died, so its not a good picture...
